Origin Information:
Ea Kar Agricultural Co-operative was established in 2012 by 51 families.

A district of the Đắk Lắk Central Highlands in Vietnam, Ea Kar is one of a series of contiguous high plateaus that border the lower part of Laos and northeastern Cambodia. All plateaus are surrounded by high mountain ranges, with many waterfalls and lakes.

Farms in this area tend to be small and family owned, where a variety of crops are grown, including coffee, cacao, pepper, mulberry, and tea.

Since the families formed the cooperative, they have been able to reinvest in machinery, equipment and apply technology to produce, ferment and process high quality cacao beans.
